Dr. Aidan Hampson qualified in RCSI in 1976 and completed his training in the old Richmond and Temple Street Hospitals. Entered GP in 1979 with his father Dr. Joe Hampson and his sister Dr. Grainne Hampson in Collins Avenue. In 1981 he started on his own in Whitethorn Rise and the rest as they say is history.
He married Frances Harrington in 1979 and has 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Dr. Aidan feels communication is the most important attribute of a GP and after 38 years practicing as a doctor he still retains a great enthusiasm and love of all aspects of General Practice Medicine. He has served on the Beaumont Hospital Board for 9 years and is now on the board of D Doc.
